What to Expect?
#1 – Long Queues
For one, long queues. If people are willing to queue up for Wu Pao Chun in Taiwan, then you can expect the same in Singapore.
#2 – Award Winning Bread
And of course – the famous award-winning champion bread!
For your reference, the “Taiwan Litchi Rose Champion Bread” (pictured above) is the award-winning bread that caused Wu Pao Chun to clinch the title of the Master Baker at Bakery Masters Competition in Paris back in 2010. So obviously, that should be the bread to try!
The price in Taiwan for the bread is an eye watering 360 NT (approx S$16?! FOR A BUN?!) but we’re not sure how much it will cost in Singapore. We’re guessing.. S$20? 😱

At least, it seems to be a HUGE piece though.
Don’t worry, it seems that there will also be more affordable bread from the classic range as well. Prices quoted online are 50 NT (approx S$2.50) so it won’t break the bank as badly as the champion bread.
Other than the usual array of award-winning breads and bestsellers, we can also expect Wu Pao Chun to perhaps offer local Singaporean flavors such as curry and durian as well!
Now the question is this – will it be worth the hype, and more importantly .. the PRICE?
Only time will tell.
Well, all we can say is this: mark your dates for 31 May 2019 if you plan on being the FIRST TO TRY Wu Chun Pao Bakery in Singapore (also the FIRST outlet in South East Asia as well) at Capitol Singapore!
