7) Golden Harvest Awards: Singapore Showcase

Taiwan’s longest-running short film festival, the Golden Harvest Awards 金穗獎／優良劇本獎／短片輔導金, is coming to our sunny shores! Join in the cultural exchange as we present four acclaimed Golden Harvest films, along with four award-winning Singaporean films from the National Youth Film Awards 2018. This special Singapore showcase is a celebration of our two islands’ works, which are vastly different in some ways yet strikingly familiar in others. It’ll be a lovely afternoon of film screenings and panel discussions as we hear about Taiwan’s film scene and creative industry from directors, film programmers, and industry professionals.

8) ART PODium Art Fair 2019

ART PODium is an Art fair bringing together artists, art collectors, critics and curators all under one roof. This is a unique event which spans the entire eco system of art with the objective of promoting the appreciation of visual arts amongst the widest possible audience, backed by knowledge and expertise. With a focus on Indian art, on display will be works by more than 30 artists ranging from senior talented artists to internationally recognised masters. A special feature will be, never before seen works from private collections including paintings dating back to the 19th century by artists collectively known as Bengal Masters, comprising some of India’s most acclaimed artists of that time. Various artists from Singapore and SE Asia will also be participating.

10) Kampong Gelam Heritage & Gelam Gallery Street ArtWalk #2

11) Mid-Autumn Festival at Jurong Lake Gardens

Come celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival at Jurong Lake Gardens! Join us on a journey to the West with characters from popular Chinese folklore and watch the garden transform into a mythical world surrounded by a myriad of plants and animals at night. Other than big lantern set pieces, enjoy art performances which will happen daily and refuel yourself at the night market with a variety of food and drinks at the Wave Plaza. As it is also the school holiday week, the festival will be a good opportunity for the children and their parents to learn more about the arts, culture and history of a celebration of the forefathers.
