CNY Must Do: Proper sequence of auspicious phrases for Lo Hei

We usually rely on our elders or helpful waiters to recite those lucky Chinese phrases, but what happens if the responsibility somehow falls to you? Fret not, here is the sequence in which you should say the auspicious phrases if you are unable to remember how it should go beyond the second line.

CNY Must Go: Chinatown Chinese New Year Light-up

After your meal, take a walk along Chinatown and enjoy the festive lights along the streets nightly along New Bridge Road, Eu Tong Sen Street, South Bridge Road and Upper Cross Street (till Mar 9, 2024).

CNY Must Go: River Hongbao 2024

River Hongbao 2024, held at Gardens by the Bay for the fourth consecutive year, will run from Feb 8 to 17. It will start at 6.30pm for the first two days, and at 2.30pm for the rest of the event period.

A 140m-long dragon lantern set suspended across two Supertrees at Gardens by the Bay will ring in the Year of the Dragon at the River Hongbao, one of Singapore’s largest and longest-running Chinese New Year (CNY) celebrations. A God of Fortune figurine, a crowd favourite, will also feature at the Supertree Grove.

Also, you definitely don’t want to miss River Hongbao’s first grand firecracker show happening here as we welcome the new year with a big BANG! Head there for the firecracker show at the following time slots:
