With mid-autumn just around the corner, there is nothing better than soaking in the atmosphere!
And if you are looking for that perfect location to celebrate the festive occasion with your loved ones, here’s somewhere that you won’t want to miss out on.
Nested conveniently inside Plaza Singapura mall (Nearest MRT: Dhoby Ghaut), you will not miss this signage – Typhoon. (While we are at it, let me take a photo of myself posing outside it. *Ahem)
And right at the entrance, there’s a cute life-sized bunny welcoming you – showing off the icon of “White Rabbit” which I am sure is familiar to many – Heck, it was my all-time favorite childhood candies!
And here’s the preview of their choices on the menu – whereby y0u can get to choose your preferred options.
It’s a full course that I personally felt is a suitable portion for 2 pax. As my appetite isn’t that big to begin with, this was certainly more than adequate.
While waiting for our food to be served, our drinks arrived! (Initially, I ordered Taiwan Ginger Red Tea (Hot) on the menu but it was not available. Hence, I was given the opportunity to choose something from their main menu – which I decided on passionfruit tea!)
And if you prefer something cold, here’s a recommended one that won’t go wrong: – Classic Milk Tea!
Under Appetiser, I had chosen Double boiled chicken collagen soup.
AND HOLY MAMA – I would DEFINITELY urge anyone to choose this.
I am a huge soup lover and totally approve this.
The soup is SUPER rich in taste – and the aftertaste lingers in your mouth, urging you to have more mouthfuls. (and the chicken meat is real tender!) The only complaint I have is that the portion is too small – Heck, I can drink many bowls of it! If you are also a soup lover like me, I can assure you that this is a WISE choice.
Panko Canadian Pork Chop with Egg fried rice
(The small plate of orange sauce is used to pair with the pork chop)
I have to say the sauce goes really well with the pork chop!
Fried rice wise, it tastes like a normal bowl of fragrant fried rice and definitely filling to the stomach.
Under the seafood category, I chose the steamed Yellow croaker with preserved vegetables.
I have to say the fish portion is HUGE – and the meat is really fresh! I used it to pair with my egg fried rice too, and the combination +gravy is simply one of the best. I like it that it is not overly salty despite the presence of preserved vegetables.
And as if all the above aren’t tasteful enough, here’s actually one of the main leads – White Rabbit Souffle!
(The whole set looks soooo cute can! The dessert comes in the shape of bunnies! And the ear parts are made out of sugar.)
The set consists of hotcakes, sugar and ice-cream — complete with crunchy crumb bits for an extra “Oomph”.
A close-up of the crunchy bits that I ended up consuming all – it’s just too addictive! Sweet and adds on flavor to every bite if you pair it with the hotcakes.
And the ice-cream tasted literally like the white rabbit candy back from the childhood days. What nostalgia! Look at the cuter packaging – Even the design is so retro~
Must take the chance to pose with this!
