Wondering what to do this weekend? Here’s the SG Lifestyle Team’s weekly round-up of FREE WEEKEND ACTIVITES TO DO IN SINGAPORE (well, mostly free) as we try to adapt to a new normal while waiting for the current COVID-19 situation to improve.

This includes a mixture of virtual/digital events/activities you can do at home, as well as physical events/places to visit/attend. Nevertheless, please do your due diligence to do your part to stay safe.

1) Visit: Vintage Flea Market by The Retro Factory

Visit the Katong Square Lifestyle & Vintage Market from the 3rd to the 5th of February 2023! Soak in the rustic ambience as you chill out to nostalgic tunes from vinyl old school DJs and check out the market booths.
The Market is Both Indoors & Outdoors and will go on Rain or Shine, once a month, every first weekend.

2) Visit: Sengkang Riverside Park

Located in the north east region of our island, this park in Sengkang has plenty to offer. From IG-worthy lalang fields to a cute fruit-themed boardwalk, spend this weekend at Sengkang Riverside Park with your family and friends.


3) Visit: Joo Choon Lin: Dance in the Destruction Dance

Immerse yourself in a multisensory artwork by Singaporean artist Joo Choon Lin and discover how everyday objects can constantly shape shift and embody an array of meanings. On view till 16 April 2023.

4) Watch: ‘Bai Bai Nian’

When the ‘Nian’ monster stumbles into our world in a hullabaloo, our Tampines Hubbers need to find ways to defeat it or otherwise.
Watch the grandparent-child duo Por Por and Ah Bun, this festive Chinese New Year, in a modern Singaporean twist on the Nian story!


5) Visit: Wan Qing Festival of Spring 2023

Visit the Wan Qing Yuan Festival of Spring this 4-5 Feb to learn and find out more about the Lunar New Year customs and traditions!
