5 FREE Activities to do in Singapore this Weekend (7 – 8 May 2022)

Wondering what to do this weekend? Here’s the SG Lifestyle Team’s weekly round-up of FREE WEEKEND ACTIVITES TO DO IN SINGAPORE (well, mostly free) as we try to adapt to a new normal while waiting for the current COVID-19 situation to improve.

This includes a mixture of virtual/digital events/activities you can do at home, as well as physical events/places to visit/attend. Nevertheless, please do your due diligence to do your part to stay safe.

Recommended Advisory Notice: Let’s play our part to Stay Safe during this period:
Wear a mask and see a doctor promptly if you are sick! ⁣⁣
Wash your hands regularly and properly using soap and water! ⁣⁣

1) Visit: Katong Square Lifestyle & Vintage Market

There will be an array of all things vintage – ranging from quirky home decoration finds to delicate pieces of jewellery and thousands of vinyl records up for grabs. Make sure to leave no stone unturned at these gazebo tents and old-school pushcarts: there’ll also be crafters and makers setting up booths, racks of vintage clothing, and even a black German youngtimer classic car on display.

2) Contest: Ribena and C.C. Lemon Singapore #SingYourVitC TikTok Challenge

Excited to jio your friends to belt out the freshest tunes? Give your singing a dose of Vitamin C, so you can hydrate with fruity refreshing goodness!
While you’re there, grab your chance to win an iPad Air, AirPods Max, Popsical Karaoke System and more when you join the #SingYourVitC Giveaway!

3) Visit: Gorgeous Transformation Art Exhibition 2022

From 30 April to 8 May, shoppers and visitors to ION Art gallery are invited to view 57 artworks from women artists from the Women Artists Association (WAA) (Singapore).

Through this exhibition, WAA (Singapore) spotlights the participating artists and showcases their talent across various mediums that feature different perspectives, and also hopes to encourage more women to develop their talent in art and embrace their power to transform the world of art and art exhibitions.

4) Exhibition: The Forest and Its Soul

Walking through the dense forest body, you may start to notice quiet movements, or perhaps a gradient to its shadowy depths. There is much more than meets the eye in this environment composed of innumerable elements, with hidden visions to be uncovered embedded throughout.

In situating yourselves within these landscapes, take this oppotunity to appreciate the many layers of the forest through Han Sai Por’s works, and uncover your relations with it.
