2) Singapore Dragon Boat Festival 2019

Watch the teams battle it out to be the Nation’s Best at the Singapore Dragon Boat Festival (Singapore Nationals)! A key highlight of the festival is the Prime Minister’s Cup, a 1000 meter race that pits students from 5 local Singapore Universities on Sunday (NTU v NUS v SIM v SIT v SMU)!

10) Kampong Gelam Heritage & Street Art Walk: GSS Experience & Gelam Gallery

Come join Monster Day Tours for a free public tour as we open your eyes to a kaleidoscope of colours at Kampong Gelam this July! During the tour, our guides will bring you around Kampong Gelam to soak in the vibrant atmosphere at GSS: Experience Kampong Gelam, organised by the Singapore Retailers Assocation. On top of the sightseeing spots, you will get a rare chance to visit and interact with business-owners in this culturally-rich precinct such as Rania Silk House, Haji Tawakkal Centre, Bhai Sarabat and more.

11) My Alexandra Heritage Tour

My Alexandra Heritage Tour visits the military installations constructed by the British troops to defend the naval outpost at Keppel Harbour and follows the war from Fort Pasir Panjang/Labrador Battery to the massacre at Alexandra Hospital and the neighbouring Boh Beh Kang village. Participants will hear a first-hand account of the war from ex-villagers at Boh Beh Kang and come up-close with the former military encampments and fortifications at Alexandra Barracks, Gillman Barracks and Fort Pasir Panjang.

Location: Arrive at Labrador MRT Station (Ground level) 15 minutes before 8.30am. The tour guides will be wearing red crown T-shirts with a conspicuous “Guide” at the back of the shirt. Tour proceeds, rain or shine!

Note: This heritage tour requires participants to walk for four hours long and trek some hilly terrain. Hence, it may not be advisable for young children or persons with disability.


12) My Mt Faber & Sentosa Heritage Tour

Time: 8.30am to 12.30pm
Location: Harbourfront Bus Interchange (Berth 12).  Arrive 15 minutes before 8.30am. The tour guides will be wearing beach coloured T-shirts with a conspicuous “Guide” at the back of the shirt.

Note: This heritage tour requires participants to walk for four hours long and trek some hilly terrain. Hence, it may not be advisable for young children or persons with disability.


13) A Tour Around Museum @ My Queenstown

Do you know that the first HDB flats, first branch library and polyclinic are located in Queenstown? Take a stroll around our community museum and take part in our weekly community-centric participatory progammes. The tour around Museum@My Queenstown features the intriguing people, places and stories of Singapore’s first satellite town. Participants will also hear first-hand accounts of the charming neighbourhood from long time residents in Tanglin Halt.
