3) Gift of Love Bazaar at Viva Business Park

The Home Living Gift of Love bazaar will be taking place at Viva Business Park this weekend! The bazaar will feature a plethora of items ranging from gifts for couples, fashion apparels and accessories, handmade products, arts and crafts, kickstarter crafts and many more! 4) A Tour Around Museum @ My Queenstown

Welcome to Singapore’s first independent community museum! Do you know that the first HDB flats, first branch library and polyclinic are located in Queenstown? Take a stroll around our community museum and take part in our weekly community-centric participatory progammes. The tour around Museum@My Queenstown features the intriguing people, places and stories of Singapore’s first satellite town. Participants will also hear first-hand accounts of the charming neighbourhood from long time residents in Tanglin Halt.

6) Willing Hearts Volunteering

Willing Hearts has a simple philosophy when it comes to volunteering – Just come with a warm smile, two helping hands, an open and willing heart, and one simple question “How can I be of help today?” That is all it takes to volunteer at Willing Hearts.

Willing Hearts is 100% run by volunteers, apart from a handful of full-time staff. It operates a soup kitchen that prepares, cooks and distributes 5,000 daily meals to over 40 locations islandwide, 365 days a year. Beneficiaries include the elderly, the disabled, low income families, children from single parent families or otherwise poverty stricken families, and migrant workers in Singapore.

7) Overseas University Application Fair 2020

Calling all students! Looking to study in Australia, United Kingdom, Ireland or Malaysia? Applications are open for 2020 and 2021 intake. Anyone attending the exhibition will have burning questions about university life overseas and this is your opportunity to get all your doubts cleared.

8) The Posthuman City Exhibition

Taking NTU CCA Singapore’s overarching research topic Climates. Habitats. Environments. as point of departure, the exhibition The Posthuman City considers the possibilities of a conscious sharing of resources, and a respectful and mindful coexistence between humans and other species. Through imaginative propositions at the intersection of art, design, and architecture, the selected artists engage questions addressing issues of sustainability, water scarcity, invisible communities, nature as a form of culture, and suggest the implementation of lived indigenous knowledges. Examining the urban fabric in its condition as a habitat for a diversity of life forms, the featured works range from installations to time-based media.

10) Noises Off Auditions

The Stage Club is pleased to announce open auditions for the supreme farce by Michael Frayn, Noises Off. Called “The funniest farce ever written”, it revolves around a manic group of actors racing against time to put on a…well, farce. Full of cracking one-liners, physical gags, a relentless pace and an astonishing set, Noises Off delivers laugh after laugh.

Directed by Nick Perry (Cash on Delivery, One Man, Two Guvnors, The History Boys, The Real Thing…).
Performance Dates: Wednesday 13th May – Saturday 16th May 2020; KC Arts Theatre SRT
The play involves much physical comedy and immaculate timing.
