1) Singapore Cat Festival 2019

Hang on to your kitty carriers because the Singapore Cat Festival is back for our second year running! This once-a-year, canine-free festival is not to be missed by cat owners, lovers, and those curious to learn more about these inquisitive, beautiful animals. Join us at Great World City this 27 & 28 July 2019 for a feline-good time as we celebrate our love for these beautiful animals and rally together in a show of support for the local cat community.

CATS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN US FOR THIS EVENT. However, please ensure that they are leashed and kept in safe travel carriers at ALL TIMES for the safety of your cat, and in consideration of other visitors to the mall who may be afraid of cats.

2) The 50 Cents Fest 2019

The annual festival takes a deep dive into the roots of the Hokkien Chinese, promising visitors only the most authentic Hokkien flavours and experiences!

3) Malaysia FEST 2019

Since 2016, Malaysia Fest, organised by MegaXpress International Pte Ltd, has been popular in selling Malaysian food and products by established Malaysian Exhibitors. This year, Tourism Malaysia will be participating during the 4 Days event as part of the Visit Malaysia 2020 promotional campaign and to showcase Malaysia’s tourism products to consumers.

The three-day event at the Lifelong Learning Institute will be buzzing with interesting tech showcases, free hourly tutorials, hands-on workshops and interactive activities for everyone to learn, have fun and experience the digital future. To ensure that no one is left behind by digitalisation, the event aims to bring together everyone – including seniors and persons with disabilities – who would like to embrace technology and are ready to enjoy the benefits afforded by digital technology.

11) The Great Indian Food Fest

10-day event will showcase the rich history, culture and evolution of Little India since the beginning days. 16 food carts will be set up along Campbell Ln serving up long lost dishes. A guided heritage hawker food trail will also be happening from 22nd – 26th of July. Australia Masterchef Winner 2018, Sashi Cheliah will be conducting a masterclass demo on the 20th of July. Other performances and acts will set the stage for the #giff2019. This event aims to inspire people from all walks of life ensuring Singapore is made the food capital of Asia.

Honorable Mention: Hair for Hope 2019

In its 17th year running, Hair for Hope is Children’s Cancer Foundation’s signature outreach event – the only head-shaving event in Singapore that serves to raise funds and awareness of childhood cancer. Walk-in shavees, a minimum donation of $20 is encouraged to help us defray the costs of organising the event. – All participants must be at least 7 years old (in 2019).

Every shaven head at Hair for Hope represents the understanding by an individual of the ordeals that a child with cancer is subjected to. By volunteering to shave, shavees become CCF ambassadors in helping to raise awareness of childhood cancer among their family and friends. It also provides an opportunity to garner support from the public in the form of donations.
