3) Weekend Farmers’ Market at Jalan Besar

Thanks to the overwhelming love and support of everyone, the Farmers’ Market is back on the weekend of 29 & 30 June at Chye Seng Huat Hardware! Expect plenty of beautiful produce, such as those yummy gigantic grapes, American cherries and peaches from the guys at Avo & Co. For those who can’t get enough of yum tasting food, Munets will be bringing their freshly made handcrafted Empanadas.

Right next to them are the ladies of SAY YAS and Masterchef Singapore finalist, Genevieve! Check out their healthy Acai and soup, and be prepared to be surprised by the pastry they will be serving up on Sunday!  Wash it down with the Australian Cold Pressed Juice by Foster Foods, and taste the awesome Dukkah of our homegrown brand: Dukkah King Singapore! Pair this with the popular Tomato and Tiger bread of Savour’re and we are sure you’ll be loving your weekend. P.s. All bread are freshly baked in the morning at 4am! 10) EarthFest at Plaza Singapura

EarthFest is back for a second time this year with a new location in the heart of the city! For the first time in EarthFest history, a spin-off edition of our sustainability festival will be held at Plaza Singapura from 24 June to 30 June 2019. This family-friendly event will be held in conjunction with Plaza Singapura’s 45th anniversary, featuring a diverse lineup of family-friendly workshops and activities throughout the week.

Learn more about the environmental impact of our lifestyles at our curated educational outreach booths. The week’s festivities will end with our signature sustainable marketplace from Friday to Sunday, which will feature many of the vendors you know and love from our annual flagship at Marina Barrage.

11) Singapore Art Book Fair 2019

Singapore Art Book Fair (SGABF) is an independent multi-day festival specialising in contemporary art books & zines. This event is free and open to the public and will feature art books, art catalogues, monographs, zines, and printed ephemera.

Returning for its sixth edition, SGABF2019 will see over 80 local and international exhibitors showcasing their selections of printed matter, published works and new launches. Public exhibitions and workshops have also been added to the fair.

12) Children’s Festival at Gardens By the Bay 2019 + Toy Donation Drive

Children’s Festival 2019 will see the transformation of Supertree Grove at the Gardens into a colourful carnival filled with family-friendly games and activities, inspired by Buzz, Woody and the gang in an all-new Toy Story adventure.

Some of the experiences festival-goers can expect include Star Adventurer, where young visitors can race in self-driving cars in order to recharge Buzz Lightyear; and Bo Peep’s Adventure, a fun obstacle course for children to test their speed, agility and endurance. There will also be carnival game booths featuring Woody and Jessie. To top it off, the Festival will feature the first ever Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 4 themed marble run track in Singapore.

The day ends on a magical note with a special Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 4 inspired-edition of the Garden Rhapsody, a signature light and music show by Gardens by the Bay, to dazzle visitors with the magnificent sight of the Supertrees.

In the spirit of friendship and sharing, a toy donation drive will be held in tandem with Children’s Festival 2019 at Gardens by the Bay. Bring a smile to children under the care of Salvation Army, TOUCH Community Services (TOUCH Child Care), and Food from the Heart by donating new or pre-loved toys.

Members of the public who wish to support the cause can bring soft toys, play sets, board games, or even sports equipment such as basketball and skateboards, to the collection point located at Supertree Grove in Gardens by the Bay.

15) Get Curious! Children’s Special at the National Museum

This June, Children’s Special at the National Museum celebrates the launch of our special publication for families, Get Curious! – The Official Interactive Family Guide to the National Museum of Singapore. Explore our permanent galleries as a family with this book, and discover the exciting stories of highlighted artefacts through themes such as Animals, Colours, Shapes, Transport and Values.
