5 FREE Activities to do in Singapore this Good Friday & Easter Weekend (2 – 4 Apr 2021)

Wondering what to do this long weekend? Here’s the SG Lifestyle Team’s weekly round-up of FREE WEEKEND ACTIVITES TO DO IN SINGAPORE (well, mostly free) during Phase 3 as we try to adapt to a new normal while waiting for the current COVID-19 situation to improve.

This includes a mixture of virtual/digital events/activities you can do at home, as well as physical events/places to visit/attend. Nevertheless, please do your due diligence to do your part to stay safe.

Recommended Advisory Notice: Let’s play our part to Stay Safe during this period:
Wear a mask and see a doctor promptly if you are sick! ⁣⁣
Wash your hands regularly and properly using soap and water! ⁣⁣

1) Try out: Keto Easter Egg Truffles

Here’s an easy Easter Egg Truffles recipe that you can try with your family to celebrate Easter! These quick, no bake keto Easter Egg Truffles are the perfect addition to any Easter basket or a sweet treat for the weekend. Add some delight to the office by sharing the joy and your creations with your friends and colleagues.

2) Visit: HERSHEY’S Pop-Up at Changi Airport

Chocolate lovers rejoice! We are letting you know that from now till 3 May, you can indulge in a giant-sized chocolate world at Changi Airport. The themed pop-up includes 3-metre-tall chocolate dispensers, new flavour features, giant bars and candies, as well as an IG-worthy HERSHEY’s kitchen gallery. If you have not been to the airport for sometime, why not make a trip down this weekend and grab some chocolate for Easter and share it with your loved ones?

3) Explore: New Botanic Gardens Extension

As for parents who are running out of ideas of where to bring your children to play this long Good Friday weekend, here’s a new place to note. The newest nature playgarden in Singapore is located at the Singapore Botanic Gardens.

Known as the COMO Adventure Grove, the playgarden is inspired by the distinctive parts of the trees found within the Gardens. It includes a giant Cempedak (Artocarpus integer) where children can scramble over its warty surface, large-sized pod and seeds of a Saga tree (Adenanthera pavonina) that the children can roll and hop around.

Reconnect with nature through outdoor play and exploration with your children this holiday.

Besides the playgarden, have you heard that there’s a new extension at Botanic Gardens in Singapore that has a beautiful black and white bungalow reminiscent of English houses. And it’s not just for aesthetic purposes, there’s an interpretive centre inside. The Gallop Extension is a 8-hectare addition to the Singapore Botanic Gardens that comprises of two conserved buildings that have been refurbished into four new attractions.

Visit Forest Discovery Centre @ OCBC Arboretum or the Botanical Art Gallery for some indoor activity after outdoor play. You can end your trip at the new Bee’s Knees Petite cafe scheduled for opening at The Gallop Extension in late March.

4) Warehouse Sale: Popular Warehouse Sale / Four Star Mattress Brand Fair

What makes this long weekend fantastic is that if you love great deals and aim to replenish your stationery and office supplies, you got to see this.
