5 FREE Activities to do in Singapore this Weekend (13 – 14 August 2022)

Wondering what to do this weekend? Here’s the SG Lifestyle Team’s weekly round-up of FREE WEEKEND ACTIVITES TO DO IN SINGAPORE (well, mostly free) as we try to adapt to a new normal while waiting for the current COVID-19 situation to improve.

This includes a mixture of virtual/digital events/activities you can do at home, as well as physical events/places to visit/attend. Nevertheless, please do your due diligence to do your part to stay safe.

Recommended Advisory Notice: Let’s play our part to Stay Safe during this period:
Wear a mask and see a doctor promptly if you are sick! ⁣⁣
Wash your hands regularly and properly using soap and water! ⁣⁣

1) Visit: OFF / ON showcase

Presented as part of the National Museum’s Collecting Contemporary Singapore initiative that aims to broaden the museum’s efforts in documenting diverse perspectives of contemporary Singapore, this showcase encourages visitors to reflect on how technology has made an indelible mark on their everyday life. Residents in Singapore are also invited to contribute their memories and objects relating to the theme of technology up to the present day, and how it has played an important role in their lives.

2) Visit: Land of Fairy Tales

Enjoy the exhibits of artist Li Hongbo’s fairytale land where he takes the humble medium of paper and transforms the everyday material into elaborate honey-comb-like structures.

3) Giveaway: ICHI

Participate in this giveaway and enjoy delicious treats!

4) Visit: NATAS Travel Fair

The NATAS Travel Fair will take place from 12 to 14 August 2022 at Singapore Expo Hall 5. More than 40 exhibitors, comprising travel agents, airlines, cruise operators, hotels and national tourist organisations, will be showcasing their offerings at the fair’s 56th edition this year.

5) Workout to Fitness: Morning Yoga Workout Flow | Yoga With Tim

The morning and evening tend to be the most power full times energetically to practice yoga. This morning yoga workout will flow through a full body warm up to help you build up a sweat and raise your core temperature gradually before going into some deep stretches along with some strengthening for the abs, glutes, upper body, core and posterior chain. Do this Morning Yoga Workout Flow with Yoga With Tim this weekend.

We hope you enjoy this week’s round-up of weekend activities to do in Singapore FOR FREE!

More importantly – stay safe and don’t say we NEVER share!
