The inaugural showcase displays the spectrum of completed works, ranging from furniture to fashion to metalware, and highlights the possibilities that emerge from intersections of craft and design, culture and creativity, tradition and modernity.
Venue: National Museum of Singapore, Longer Concourse, Level 1, 93 Stamford Road, S178897
Date: 2 July – 31 July 2022
Time: Daily 10am – 7pm
3) Visit: loop / pool
Conceived in response to the sonic and physical space of the Community Wall, loop / pool encompasses a series of works that harnesses the adjacent escalator’s ambient sound and cyclical mechanical motion as a starting point to explore ideas of repetition, states of transition and reservoirsof temporal flows. The works comprise LED panels embedded within digital prints, tanks of water filled with slow-releasing dye from butterfly pea flowers, a moving image work of abstract insetsand an audio piece of environmental sounds. Programmed to unfold in real time and anchored in a closed loop of change, the artworks on endless repeat echo the whirs and circulations of its mechanical antecedent.

Location: Esplanade Mall Level 3 Community Wall
