Wondering what to do this weekend? Here’s the SG Lifestyle Team’s weekly round-up of FREE WEEKEND ACTIVITES TO DO IN SINGAPORE (well, mostly free) as we try to adapt to a new normal while waiting for the current COVID-19 situation to improve.

This includes a mixture of virtual/digital events/activities you can do at home, as well as physical events/places to visit/attend. Nevertheless, please do your due diligence to do your part to stay safe.

1) Visit: House of Dreams

Decked in Barbie’s signature pink, the exhibition is set against a landscape inspired by the Barbie Dreamhouse. Spot some popular icons in Barbie form, like Elvis, Barbra Streisand, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, Marilyn Monroe and more.

House of Dreams also have a section dedicated to red-carpet fashion with dresses from design houses like Valentino, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Christian Louboutin.

2) Watch: Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2022 Race

Watch the F1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2022 Race at Our Tampines Hub on 1 & 2 October 2022, Festive Plaza! There are also activities from 2pm to 8pm where you can try your hands on art and crafts activities and Daytona racing simulator stations, suitable for all young and old alike.


3) Visit: Hawkapura

Get a fresh perspective on hawker culture in this video artwork by RSCLS and MARIHADALITTLESHEEP (featuring Rene Foo), as they explore the subtle similarity in the identities of the streets and its food and art. Don’t miss the life-sized pushcart and the hawker apparatus created as an artistic salute to the street vendors!

4) Visit: The LEGO® Technic McLaren Formula 1™ Pop-Up Experience

Head down to Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza this weekend for fun activities and prizes!


5) Make your own: Super-Easy Pumpkin Donuts Recipe
